Omaha, Neb. – The St. Thomas Women's Basketball Team picked up their 7th win of the season and 4th Summit League victory as it defeated the University of Nebraska Omaha, 61-56 in the 2021-22 season finale.

"This was a true team win. So proud of our team and their grit, purpose and integrity," said Head Coach Ruth Sinn. "This group epitomized what it means to wear the Tommie Jersey on a D1 stage. They kept focused on relationships and improvement throughout the season. Couldn't ask for a better group to embark on this historic transition. We will miss our seniors greatly. They were a perfect example of how to use this game to grow as people and pour into others through the journey. We are so grateful for their contributions!"

The Tommies two super seniors, grad student forwards Erin Norling and Kaia Porter finished with 26 and 10 points, respectively.

The Tommies got off to a hot start, racing out to a 12-3 lead through the first two minutes of play. St. Thomas ended the first quarter with a six-point, 19-13 lead.
