St. Paul, Minn. - Closing out the regular season, St. Thomas women's hockey (5-23-1, 3-21-1 WCHA) takes on No. 1 Minnesota (24-7-1, 19-6-1 WCHA) in a home-and-home series beginning on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in Mendota Heights, Minn. The conclusion of the series is to be played at the Gophers on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

Going for Gold
St. Thomas head coach Joel Johnson, and freshmen Saskia Maurer and Nicole Vallario are representing the school in the Winter Olympics. Johnson is leading the U.S. women's hockey program. Maurer and Vallario are playing for the Swiss national team.

Seniors Going out Strong

The Offensive Youth
Three freshman make up the top-five scorers for the Tommies. Promersberger is the leading scorer of the newcomers with five goals. Vallario (4) and Lauren Stenslie (3) round out the top five for St. Thomas.

Parent Stepping Up
Sophomore Brieja Parent, a mid-season transfer from UMD, has scored three goals and amassed one assist in 11 games for the Toms. Scoring a goal in 27.2 percent of games, Parent is tops on the team with that scoring rate. Parent finished with a two-goal game at Bemidji State on Jan. 28.
