Men's Hockey stung again in overtime, falls 3-2

Big Rapids, Mich. - Connor McGrath scored the game-winning goal 2:27 into sudden-death 3-on-3 overtime to lift host Ferris State to a 3-2 victory over St. Thomas in Friday night's CCHA men's hockey game.
The Purple (1-6 overall, 0-1 CCHA) played their third overtime game in their last four contests, taking their second 3-2 OT loss in eight days.
Luke Manning scored his first goal of the season, a first-period power-play goal for a 1-0 Tommie lead.
Ferris scored a pair of second-period goals to take a 2-1 lead. But Josh Eernisse scored 7:54 into the third period for the Toms to tie the score at 2-2.
The Toms outshot FSU 36-20 in regulation time and 37-22 on the night. Freshman Aaron Trotter had 19 saves for the visitors.

The teams close the weekend series Saturday with a 5:07 p.m. Minnesota time puck drop.
