Volleyball falls short in four-set loss to Idaho State

Freshman hitter Lauren Galvin had 17 kills and 15 digs but Tommie Volleyball fell in four sets to Idaho State in Saturday play at the Incarnate Word tournament in San Antonio. Idaho State won 28-26, 19-25, 25-23, 25-9.
The Tommies (1-4) served match point twice in the first set but were unable to close out that set.
Grace Anetipa had 18 assists; Eva Fitzgerald had three aces and 15 assists; Libby Mattila had 10 kills; and Ellie Dammann chipped in seven kills and four blocks.
St. Thomas plays three matches next week in the Stony Brook (N.Y.) tournament.
