Volleyball falls 3-0 to tough Denver team

The Denver Pioneers moved to 11-1 on the volleyball season and 2-0 in the conference with Saturday's home 3-0 defeat of St. Thomas. Denver won 25-14, 25-12, 25-17.
Lauren Galvin recorded eight kills, Carrie Rutledge had 10 digs and Grace Anetipa closed with 11 assists for the Tommies (1-11 overall, 0-2 Summit).
Denver hit .370 and has 12 service aces.
After its first 12 matches played on road or neutral courts, St. Thomas gets its first two home matches this week against North Dakota on Thursday (7 p.m.) and North Dakota State on Saturday (3 p.m.). Tickets can be purchased through www.tommiesports.com
