With wind-chill readings around 30 degrees, Tommie Men's Golf freshman Matt Armstrong had ice in his veins on Monday during most of his final round of the Gustavus Bobby Krig Invite.
In just his second college tournament, the Eden Prairie High graduate carded five birdies over a 15-hole stretch at the Le Sueur Country Club. He double-bogeyed a 471-yard par-four hole to finish the tournament, but Armstrong still closed with a one-under par 69 on the round -- the day's best score by five shots.

Led by St. Thomas freshman Cole Nasby -- the runner-up in the medalist chase with rounds of 73-75/148 -- the Tommies' No. 2 team placed fifth in a field of 15 teams at 621, just one shot behind Gustavus and St. John's (620 each).
