Throwers sharp again for Women's Track and Field

Junior Megan Gehrke and senior Berit Borstad has top-eight Division III performances on Saturday in Collegeville to lead Tommie Women's Track and Field at the St. John's Invite.
Gehrke was already seed first in D-III in the shot put with a best of 48-9 recorded last week. On Satutrday, her best of 47-8 1-2 broke a stadium record for women by three inches.
Gehrke also won the discus in 150-5 1-4, the No. 2-ranked throw in Division III.
Borstad had a career-best hammer as she won in 167-10 1-4, a mark that ranks No. 8 in D-III.
Freshman Tay Walgrave had the No. 12-ranked 100 hurdles time as she won in 14.88. Walgrave also took second in the 200 das in 26.17.
Freshman Sarah Stellmach took second in the 100 dash in a top-50 Division III time of 12.51.
Junior Grace McGuire won the 400 in 60.12 and also ran on the first-place 4x400 relay that clocked 4:05 and had a top-25 D-III season time.
Sara Miller 4:54.80) and Olivia Moll went 1-2 in the 1500. Amanda Lyrek (2:23.30) and Grace Gerber finished 1-2 in the 800.
Freshman Alaina Schoenfelder took second in the high jump in 5-1.
