Good battles, but Men's Tennis falls 7-2

Host Carleton pulled out all three doubles matches and went on to post a 7-2 men's tennis win over St. Thomas in MIAC play Thursday in Northfield.
A perennial top-two conference finisher, the Knights (2-0 overall, 2-0 MIAC) were coming off a 9-0 win over St. Olaf.
The Tommies (6-4, 4-1) won at No. 4 and 6 singles with Aasish Bharath and Anshul Bharath. The brothers won a pair of three-set marathons.
Myles Krzewinski and Sterling Sibley lost 8-6 at second doubles.
The Purple return to Northfield for a Saturday match against St. Olaf, and play Sunday at Macalester.
