Tennis' Anshul Bharath gets MIAC weekly honor

Junior Anshul Bharath on Monday was named MIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week.
The Rosemount, Minn., native went 4-0 on the weekend at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles to help the Toms top Bethel (6-3) and St. John's (7-2). The Toms have won five of their last six matches and are 4-0 in MIAC play.
Bharath is 5-5 in singles and 5-4 in doubles this season, and plays doubles with his younger brother Aasish Bharath. He also played in eight matches in 2020 before the season was halted by the Covid outbreak.
A Dean's List student at St. Thomas, Bharath is majoring in Computer Science
