Individual triumphs bolster Swimming & Diving on day two of SCSU Rochester Invitational

Rochester, Minn. – The St. Thomas men's and women's swimming & diving teams continued to excel on day two of the SCSU Rochester Invitational in Rochester, Minn. on Saturday.
St. Thomas accumulated two more relay top-five placements and four more individual top-five finishes between the men's and women's units at the invitational.
Freshman Joe Rudd and junior Will Goldman finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. Senior diver Andrew Godfrey amassed a finals score of 379.00 in the 1 Meter Dive for the men's squad.
In the 200 Freestyle Relay, the quad of freshman Elizabeth Bonneville, sophomore Megan West, sophomore Ella Palmquist, and freshman Kiara Bissen placed top five with a time of 1:37.44. The women's team also secured third in the 400 Yard Medley Relay. Bonneville continued her strong weekend with a time of 1:52.00 in the 200 Yard Freestyle for second place. Freshman Sophie Curran (56.71) tallied second place in the 100 Yard Backstroke. Sophomore Grace Urkiel notched the fourth-best time in the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:04.69).
