Tommie Swim-Dive freshman Elizabeth Bonneville on Tuesday was selected as Summit League Women's Swimmer of the Week. It's her first such collegiate honor.
The Lakeville North High grad continued her impressive debut season in D-I with a hand in six victories last Friday and Saturday at her home Anderson Pool. Bonneville was a part of three winning relays and three individual wins in competition against Minnesota State and St. Cloud State.
Bonneville clocked 52.30 to win the 100 free and move into No. 2 on that event's season rankings in The Summit League. She is also ranked individually in the Summit's top four in the 500 free and 200 free. She had a 23.80 anchor leg in the 200 free relay and a 51.72 anchor led in the 400 free relay.
"Elizabeth swam great this weekend," said Tommie coach Scott Blanchard. "She made some big adjustments in some of her races and had some spectacular results because of it. I'm hoping she continues to build on those results."
St. Thomas is off competition the next two weekends and is back Dec. 3-4 at the St. Cloud meet held in Rochester, Minn.
