St. Thomas have 140 honorees from 14 sports on the 2019-20 Winter-Spring MIAC All-Academic Team announced today.
The MIAC award recognizes:
- top student-athletes who have a 3.50 or better cumulative grade-point average;
- sophomores, juniors or seniors and not first-year transfers;
- those who meet participation/achievement requirements in the sports of hockey, basketball, swim-dive. Due to the pandemic and the spring events cancelled, participation requirements were relaxed this year only for golf, tennis, baseballl, softball and track and field.
St. Thomas previously had 58 honorees in six sports on the 2019 Fall MIAC All-Academic Team, giving the Tommies a total of 198 honors for 2019-20.
Tommie Swim-Dive has 21 honorees, including three senior student-athletes that have now received the award all three years they were eligible -- Kirsten Nelson, Deidree Voss and Paige Pawlenty
