St. Thomas Women's Golf had back-to-back rounds of 305 and placed third out of 17 teams at the two-day Wartburg (Iowa) Invite. The final 18 holes were played on Sunday.

Tommie freshman Claudia Kim tied with two Carleton players for medalist honors in a field of 107 players. She closed with a two-under-par total of 142 (69-73).

St. Thomas' Sam Auman, playing as an individual, tied for 12th place at 151 (75-76). Sydney Steinmetz shot 75-78/153 and tied for 17th place.

St. Catherine shot 602 and scored a six-shot victory on Carleton (608). St. Thomas (610), Bethel (611) and UW-Whitewater (612) placed 3-4-5.

Saturday Story

Freshman Claudia Kim shot three-under 69 on Saturday and leads a field of 107 players at the halfway point of the Wartburg Invite in Waverly, Iowa.

The final 18 holes will be played on Sunday.

The Tommie women share third place with Illinois Wesleyan at 305. Joinng Claudia Kim in the lineup were Sydney Steinmetz (75), Courtney Shorter (80), Cayla Kim (81) and Kirsten Leonardi (83). Sam Auman shot 75 while playing as an individual.

St. Catherine (297) and Carleton (304) hold the top two team spots. Eight teams are within five shots of second place with 18 holes to play on Sunday.
