Rolland leads Women's Hoops past Pointers

Sophomore center Brynne Rolland finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks to lead No. 9-ranked St. Thonas Women's Basketball to Sunday's 63-38 victory over UW-Stevens Point in non-conference play in Wisconsin Dells, Wis.
The Tommies (7-2) ended a two-gme losing streak. Coach Ruth Sinn's team plays nationally-ranked UW-Whitewater on Monday (1 p.m.) to close the trip.
The Purple had a 50-35 edge in rebounds, as Shayla Wallin added eight to go with three assists. Amber Darge and Allie Spaulding each scored 12 points, and Macy Hatlestad added eight points, six boards and two steals.
St. Thomas outscored Stevens Point 24-5 in the second quarter to build a 24-point halftime lead.
