Women's Hoops starts MIAC season with road win

Sophomore center Brynne Rolland tallied a career-best 20 points to go with six rebounds to lead No. 4-ranked Tommie Women's Basketball to Saturday's 58-41 road win over St. Catherine.
The Tommies (4-0 overall, 1-0 MIAC) led just 30-29 at halftime then helped limit the Wildcats to 12 second-half points. A 20-2 run put the Toms ahead 52-33.
St. Thomas outscored SCU 21-9 from 3-point range. Junior guard Macy Hatlestad sank four treys and added 14 points and six rebounds.
The Toms play Tuesday night at Carleton.
