Women's Hoops seniors reach 100 wins

No. 4-ranked Tommie Women's Basketball received 30 points, 10 rebounds and five steals from inside players Hannah Spaulding and Kaia Porter in Saturday's 68-41 home win over third-place St. Mary's in MIAC play at Schoenecker Arena.
St. Thomas (16-1 overall, 10-0 MIAC) has won 18 in a row at home and 64 in a row over conference opponents. Coach Ruth Sinn's team is allowing just 49 points game in MIAC play. The Tommie senior class won its 100th game of its era (100-9).
The game was tied 18-18 in the second quarter, but an 11-2 Tommie run to close the first half followed by a 15-3 St. Thomas run to start the second half broke open the contest.
Porter made three 3-pointers en route to her 15-point day. Spaulding also had 15 points to go with seven rebounds and four steals in 29 minutes of play.
St. Mary's (10-7, 6-4) shot just 25 percent from the floor and was outscored 27-12 from 3-point range. Rachel Kedl had nine points and seven boards for the Cardinals.
