Swim-Dive sweeps team titles at home

Tommie Swim-Dive posted 11 top-two women's finishes and the men recorded 16 top-2s in Saturday's Minnesota-Wisconsin Border Battle at Anderson Pool. The Tommie women outscored UW-Eau Claire and three other teams, and the UST men outscored Eau Claire and two other teams.
The Tommie women scored 795 points to top runner Eau Claire (589) plus St. Catherine, St. Ben's and UW-Whitewater.
St. Thomas women's winners were:
- the 200 medley relay team of Kirsten Nelson, Ashley Christensen, Kate Smarjesse and Alex Howard;
- Howard in the 100 and 200 free;
- Christensen in the 200 breaststroke.
Tommie Women runners-up were:
- Katelyn Strauss in the 500 free;
- Nelson in the 100 back and 200 fly;
- Smarjesse in the 100 fly;
- Christensen in the 100 breaststroke.
- Kellie Pruitt in three-meter diving;
- the 400 free relay team of Smarjesse, Howard, Strauss and Ann Van Hout.
St. Thomas Men's winners were:
- the 200 medley relay team of C.J. Hanson, Logan Shafer, Omar Omar, Garrett Riley;
- Shafer in the 200 breaststroke;
- Nate Stone in the 100 fly and 200 fly;
- Alex Boerner in the 200 and 500 free;
- Max Larson in the 200 IM and 100 free;
- Tom Negaard in the 50 free.
Tommie Men runners-up were:
- Negaard in the 100 back;
- Noah Faldet in the 100 breaststroke;
- Michael Foss in the 50 free;
- John Gahnz in the 200 back;
- Omar in the 100 fly;
- Sam Serleth in one-meter diving;
- and the 400 free relay team of Omar, Riley, Negaard and Larson.
