Softball stays hot, now 22-4

Micaela Trainor had four hits on the day and freshman Kierstin Anderson-Glass threw seven shutout innings on the doubleheader as No. 15-ranked St. Thomas scored a 10-2, 8-0 softball sweep over Hamline in MIAC play Thursday at UST's South Field.
The Tommies (22-4 overall, 9-1 MIAC) recorded 22 hits as they maintained a two-game lead on Gustavus and St. Catherine near the halfway point of the conference standings.
St. Thomas plays at home Saturday is a 1 p.m. home doubleheader against Concordia-Moorhead; and again Sunday is a 1 p.m. twinbill in Northfield at Carleton. UST has won 20 of its last 21 games and is 21-0 in games when it scores three or more runs.
