Volleyball, Men's Soccer on road on Friday

St. Thomas has Friday night competition on the road in volleyball and men's soccer.
Volleyball
No. 17-ranked St. Thomas starts its season today and Saturday with three matches in the Wittenberg (Ohio) tournament. The Toms play No. 4 ranked Wittenberg Friday at 6:30 Minnesota time, and have two Saturday matches.
The Tommies, 24-7 last season, will play three teams coming off a combined 74-23 won-loss record: Wittenberg (29-4), Juniata (28-8) and Johns Hopkins (17-11).
Men's Soccer
Coming off Wednesday's 6-0 opening win over Northwestern-St. Paul, Tommie men's soccer plays Friday at 8 p.m. at Elmhurst (Ill.) to start a three-game, five day trip in Chicago.
St. Thomas also plays Puget Sound (Wash.) on Sunday (noon), and Aurora (Ill.) on Tuesday (2 p.m.).
UST returns most of its 2014 lineup that reached the MIAC playoffs and closed with a 9-8-2 record.
Senior Miles Stockman-Willis scored his 20th and 21st career goals in Wednesday's victory.
