Men's Tennis falls 8-1 to Gusties

First-place Gustavus scored an 8-1 men's tennis win over St. Thomas in Sunday's conference match held in St. Paul at the St. Paul Academy courts.
The No. 16-ranked Gusties (9-0 MIAC) secured the No. 1 seed for the five-team playoffs and secured the program's 27th consecutive MIAC regular-season title.
The Tommies (10-5 overall, 6-3 MIAC) scored its lone point at No. 3 singles with Scott Wall, who rallied to win 2-6, 7-5, 10-8.
Luke Elifson lost 8-4 with Brady Radermacher at No. 1 doubles, and fell 7-6, 6-1 at first singles.
St. Thomas plays Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. against fifth-seed Macalester on the Scots' courts. That winner plays Friday at Gustavus.
UST topped the Scots 5-4 last Friday indoors in Lakeville.
