Maggie Weiers had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead five Tommies scoring in double figures in Saturday's 80-49 victory over host St. Catherine in MIAC women's basketball action in St. Paul.
The No. 10-ranked Tommies (4-1 overall, 2-0 MIAC) shot 55 percent from the field and posted a 36-21 rebounding advantage. They raced to first-half leads of 13-0 and 40-17.
Taylor Young had 14 points; Katie Stone added 12 points with four 3-point baskets; and Kelly Brandenburg and Elaine Warner each scored 10 points.
St. Thomas plays Monday night at home against Macalester.
