W, 68-66
at Bethel (W), January 16, 2012
First-place UST saw its winning streak hit 13 games, but not before a late scare Monday night at Bethel. UST rolled to a 42-21 halftime lead but later escaped with a 68-66 win over the host Royals.
Bethel missed two shots in the last 10 seconds that would have tied the game.
Taylor Young had 19 points and Sarah Smith had 13 points and 11 rebounds for St. Thomas (13-1 overall, 11-0 MIAC). The Tommies have won all six games they've played in 15 days in January.
The Tommies maintained their one-game lead over second-place Gustavus, a 15-point winner over Concordia-Moorhead.
