Close matches, but ranked Carleton tops Men's Tennis

The Tommie men's tennis team lost five tie-breakers and fell 8-1 to regionally-ranked Carleton in Saturday's MIAC match held at the U of M Baseline Courts on the Gophers' campus in Minneapolis.
The Knights (5-1 overall, 3-0 MIAC) won 9-8 decisions at first and third doubles and 8-5 at second doubles. They also won 10-7 in the third set at first singles, 10-8 in the third set at second singles, and 11-9 in the third set the sixth singles.
Andy Michels won 6-4, 6-3 at third ssingles for the Tommies (3-1, 1-1).
St. Thomas is home Sunday to face St. Scholastica.
