Men's Soccer drops 3-2 decision to Pac Lutheran

The Tommie men's soccer team (1-1) scored two early goals but eventually lost a 3-2 overtime decision to Pacific Lutheran (Wash.) Saturday. The non-conference game was played on a neutral field in St. Peter.
Freshmen Kris O'Toole (sixth minute) and Josh Pozner (11th minute) scored early to stake UST to a 2-0 lead. But PLU scored in the 39th minute (Mohamed Bouzakraft), the 63rd minute (Daniele Zaccanigni) and the game-winner by Andy Hyres unassisted at 96:30.
Brian Kristol had two saves for the winners and Carlos Castelan had four saves.
Earlier, Whitworth (Wash.) tied Gustavus 1-1 in two overtimes. The Pirates, who play Monday at St. Thomas at 3 p.m., tied the game with a goal in the 89th minute.
