Men's Hockey gets 400th win for Coach Skrypek

Alex Arnason scored two goals in the first seven minutes and Coach Terry Skrypek won his 400th game in 22 seasons at St. Thomas as the host Tommies (6-5-2) topped the Foresters (5-11-1) in non-conference men's hockey play in Mendota Heights.
Skrypek is 400-180-41 at UST after winning more than 300 games in 17 seasons at Hill-Murray.
Rob Johnson ran his scoring streak to nine games, including goals in seven consecutive games. Johnson had a goal and four assists, and In his last 21 games dating back to last season, he has 28 points (16 goals, 12 assists).
UST outshot Lake Forest 60-21. Freshman Cary Wood stopped 19 shots for the win in goal for St. Thomas, which ran its home unbeaten streak to 11 games since last February (9-0-2).
Scott Campbell had 53 saves in net for the Foresters and Mike Kneeland and Zach Kozak had goals.
The Tommies resume conference play next Friday at Gustavus.
