Hutton sharp, leads Men's Soccer to 3-0 win

Freshman Mike Hutton had a goal and an assist in his collegiate debut to lead the host Tommies to a 3-0 victory over visiting Northwestern College in Friday's non-conference men's soccer game in St. Paul. it was the season opener for both teams.
Hutton scored on a penalty kick in the 30th minute. Hutton had beaten the goalie and was knocked down from behind as he approached the goal, resulting in a red card on NWC. He converted the shot for a 1-0 lead.
UST senior Jon Stillwell scored in the 69th minute, assisted by Hutton. Henry Ndawula scored in the 84th minute, assisted by Sean Kennedy. Junior Carlos Castelan had three saves in the shutout and played all 90 minutes in goal.
The Tommies are home Sept. 5 to face Simpson, which tied Augsburg 0-0 Friday in Indianola.
