A nine-time NCAA All-American sprinter, Heckman helped St. Thomas win seven of a possible eight conference team championships indoors and outdoors... a 19-time MIAC champion and 26-time All-MIAC honoree, he broke two MIAC meet records still part of the 2000 record indoors in the 4x200 relay... also played football for the Tommies.
