Competed in six meets... set personal bests of 23.08 in the 200m dash to place sixth and 51.97 in the 400m dash to finish ninth at the Snowshoe Open... ran 39.39 to take ninth in the 300m dash at the M City Classic... totaled seven top-10 finishes.
Outdoor
Competed in two meets... placed eighth in the 200m dash in a wind-aided 22.50 at the Ashton May Invitational... finished eighth in both the 100m dash (11.14) and 200m dash (22.68) at the St. Thomas Easter Invitational.

A letter winner in track & field at Eagan High School under head coach Adam Copeland... helped EHS to 3AAA Minnesota state title in 4x200m relay... an all-state and academic all-state honoree... named most improved and twice earned Wildcat Teammate Award... also a letter winner in football and boys volleyball... an all-district honorable mention and team captain in football... a two-time team captain in boys volleyball.

Son of Gene and Barb McGivern... has two siblings: Bridget and George... father served as Sports Information Director at St. Thomas for 30 years and participated in cross country and track & field at Iowa State... brother and sister both competed in cross country and track & field at St. Thomas.
