Dennis Harrington is entering his second year on the St. Thomas Men's Basketball staff as a Special Assistant to the Head Coach with a focus on scouting, video breakdown, analytics, coordination of recruiting, and general operations.  
 
He most recently spent four years at DePauw University as the assistant men’s basketball coach. His responsibilities covered all aspects of the program including: scouting, recruiting and operations. The Tigers were 54-37 over Harrington’s four seasons at DePauw, including a #10 ranking in the final D3hoops poll in 2021. 
 
Coach Tauer said, “We are excited for Dennis to join our basketball program. I have gotten to know him well over the past several years. He worked with a legendary coach in Bill Fenlon and brings a passion and experience that will benefit St. Thomas basketball.” 
 
Prior to DePauw, Harrington spent two years with the men’s basketball program at Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown, New Jersey during the program’s inaugural and second seasons. Before joining the college ranks, Harrington worked at the high school level for three years at various programs. 
 
Harrington graduated from Marquette University in 2013 with Bachelor of Arts in History. Harrington is a native of Long Beach Island, New Jersey and currently lives in Minneapolis.
