Wesley Satterfield
Wesley Satterfield joined the University of St. Thomas football staff in the spring of 2026 as the team's tight end and fullbacks coach. This will be his first season with the Tommies. 

Satterfield joins St. Thomas after spending the last two seasons at Missouri State University. In his two seasons at MSU, the Bears landed special teams All-Americans and first-team All-MVFC performers in punter Grant Burkett and long snapper Caden Bolz, while kicker Yousef Obeid was a consensus Freshman All-American. At tight end, Lance Mason earned AP and Stats Perform All-America honors in addition to All-MVFC second-team distinction after he hauled in 34 passes for 590 yards and 6 TDs.

Satterfield spent the previous two seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Tennessee Tech (2022-23). During his tenure in Cookeville, Satterfield engineered an upgraded offensive attack that boasted improvements of 75 yards and seven points per game.

Satterfield spent time at North Carolina (2007-10), Ohio State (2010-12), Chattanooga (2012-13), Southeastern Louisiana (2014-15), Austin Peay (2016-18) and Richmond (2019-21). His teams have played in three bowl games and won two conference championships, while his players have gone on to successful careers in the NFL and CFL. 

The Hartsville, Tennessee native enjoyed success as a four-year standout at Sewanee. He was named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2005 and earned All-SCAC accolades in 2005 and 2006. He earned his degree in American History at Sewanee in 2007 and was a member of the Order of Gownsmen academic honor society.
