Trevor Vill joined the St. Thomas coaching staff in the spring of 2024. This will be his first season with the Tommies.
Vill joined the St. Thomas coaching staff after serving as a graduate assistant at Florida International University. In two seasons with the Panthers, Vill worked primarily with the linebackers. Under his tutelage, Florida International saw two linebackers record 100+ tackles in a single season for the first time since 2016, with senior Donovan Manuel earning Second Team All-Conference honors. Additionally, Vill led offensive scout meetings and coaching film sessions and was the lead recruiter for California junior colleges.
Prior to his time at FIU, Vill was a wide receiver at Chapman University. As a sophomore in 2018, Vill earned SCIAC First Team All-Conference honors after breaking the program's single-season touchdown record. He earned a slew of other honors during his time at the university, including the Chapman Trustee Award, and was a two-time SCIAC Academic All-Conference honoree. Vill was a three-year team captain and made the Chapman Provost List in 2017 and 2018. He graduated from the university in 2021 with a degree in health sciences.
