Cook tallies four RBI and tosses complete game shutout in 11-0 win

The Tommies finished off their third straight run-rule win at the Lion Classic
COMMERCE, Tex. – Tommie softball (11-4) polished off its fourth straight win with an 11-0 run-rule victory in five innings against East Texas A&M on Sunday morning. It is the Tommies' three straight run-rule win this weekend and their third consecutive Sunday with a run-rule victory.
Ella Cook stole the show with a three-run little league home run in the first, a three-run home run in the fourth, and a complete game shutout in the circle. Cook struck out four and allowed just three base runners in five innings to earn her fourth win of 2026.
Avery Wukawitz reached base three times, on one hit, stole second three times, and scored three runs. Laken Lienhard and Ella Cook each smashed home runs in the win. Cook's blast was her fourth of the season and Lienhard's was her third.
Cook led the way with four RBI, Lienhard tallied two, Kyllie Weingart brought home a pair, and Cassidy Carby scored one.
Gracie Konkol notched her first career hit in a pinch-hit spot in the fifth inning.

The Tommies head down to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the Crimson Classic on Feb. 28 – March 1. They will play two games against Kent State (8-6) and Alabama (13-0) and one game against South Florida (13-4).
