ST. PAUL, MINN. – The University of St. Thomas football team's 2029 home game against Harvard University has been canceled after Harvard opted out of the agreement between the two programs. The Tommies and Crimson were scheduled to meet September 15, 2029, at O'Shaughnessy Stadium in St. Paul.
The two programs first met September 16, 2023, when St. Thomas traveled to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to face Harvard. The 2029 game was scheduled as the return trip in the agreement between the two programs.
Harvard administration informed St. Thomas Athletics this summer that it would opt out of the agreement and would not make the scheduled return trip to St. Paul.
St. Thomas will announce a replacement opponent for the 2029 season at a later date.
