Women’s Hockey set to take on Lindenwood in a non-conference series

Tommies travel to Missouri for non-conference match-up

ST.PAUL, MINN- St. Thomas women's hockey hits the road once again to take on the Lindenwood Lions for a non-conference weekend series. Puck drop is set for 6:00 p.m. on Friday Sept. 26th and 2:00 p.m. Saturday Sept. 27th at Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, MO.

Opening Weekend Recap 

The Tommies opened the 2025-26 with a sweep over the Post University Eagles.  

On Friday, the Tommie offense was ready to roll, scoring seven goals, all from different players. Rylee BartzCara SajevicMadison BrownEllah HauseChloe BoreenIlsa Lindaman, and Keara Parker all found the back of the net. Graduate goaltender Julia Minotti posted her first shutout in the Purple.  

The Tommie offense stayed hot on Saturday putting up six goals in the 6-1 victory to earn the non-conference sweep over the Eagles. Rylee Bartz and Chloe Boreen each scored two goals, while Sadie Lindsay and freshman Josie Skoogman each chipped in one of their own. 

 

WCHA Honors  

Junior forward Rylee Bartz earned the WCHA forward of the week honors for her incredible opening weekend performance. Bartz netted three goals and added two assists for five points. 

This is Bartz's third WCHA weekly honor of her career. 

 

Tommie Newcomers 

The Tommies have welcomed 11 newcomers to St. Paul ahead of the 2025-26 season. Three transfers and eight freshmen.

Scouting the Lions 

The Lindenwood Lions (0-2-0, 0-0-0 AHA) are led by third year head coach Taylor Wasylk.  
The Lions dropped the opening weekend series to the No. 13 St. Cloud State Huskies. Lindenwood fell 0-5 in both games.  
 

History with the Lions 

The Tommies hold a 5-3 overall record against Lindenwood. Last November, the Tommies split the series with the Lions, taking game one 7-2 before falling 1-6 in game two. 

 

Tying Records 

Both Rylee Bartz and Chloe Boreen tied their career high of goals per game with two in the Tommies 6-1 win over the Post University Eagles. 

St. Thomas also tied the D1 era scoring record, with seven total goals in a single game.
