Tatum Trettel scores loan Tommie goal in loss
ST.PAUL, MINN.- The St. Thomas Women's Soccer team (2-2-1) falls 4-1 in a hard-fought physical battle to Marquette (4-2-0). Tatum Trettel scored the loan Tommie goal off an assist from Mackenzie Jacobson.

Goalkeeper Oliva Rowe had 12 saves.
SCORING SUMMARY:
First Half: Marquette got on the board scoring in the 7th minute. St. Thomas evened things up at one when Tatum Trettel scored in the 15th minute off a pass from Mackenzie Jacobson. The Golden Eagles then scored twice more in the first to take the 3-1 lead into the half.
Second Half: The Tommies had attacking chances throughout the half but came up empty. The second half was a back-and-forth battle until Marquette found the back of the net in the 77th minute to take a 4-1 lead. Olivia Rowe came up with a penalty kick save to keep in the 81st minute to keep the score 4-1.
TOP TOMMIES
Tatum Trettel (Shoreview, Minn) scored her first goal of the 2025 season.
Mackenzie Jacobson (Rosemount, Minn.) recorded her second assist of the season. Her second consecutive game with an assist. She also recorded two shots on goal.
Olivia Rowe (Anoka, Minn.) recorded 12 saves, one shy of her career high 13.
UP NEXT
St. Thomas will head west to take on Eastern Washington and Idaho State. The Tommies will take on the Eastern Washington Eagles on Sept. 4th. Kick-off is set for 6:30 p.m. CT. The Purple will remain out west to take on the Idaho State Bengals on Sept. 7th. Kick-off for this match is set for 1:00 p.m. CT.
