St. Thomas fall to Huskies in overtime

ST. CLOUD, MINN. - The St. Thomas Women's Hockey team (5-2-0, 1-2-0) fall to the No. 10 St. Cloud State Huskies (4-3-0, 1-2-0) 4-3 in overtime on Friday afternoon. Juniors Rylee Bartz, Ellah Hause, and Cara Sajevic all netted goals for the Purple.

Scoring Summary:
First Period: St. Thomas opened the scoring when Rylee Bartz scored unassisted after a takeaway in the Tommies offensive zone at 11:16 in the period. The Huskies then answered by scoring a power play goal at 16:54 to tie the game at one.
Second Period: Ellah Hause gave the Tommies a 2-1 lead halfway through the second, when she netted a one timer during a Tommie power play. Hause was assisted by Ella Boerger and Madison Brown.
Third Period: The Huskies tied the game at 2 with nine minutes to play in the game. Cara Sajevic then regained the Tommie lead scoring off passes from Haley Maxwell and Whitney Horton. St. Cloud then tied the game at three with 21 seconds remaining.
Overtime: The Huskies scored three minutes into the five-minute overtime to win 4-3.
