Mrosko and Cano hold Oral Roberts to just four hits Friday night as St. Thomas Baseball comes away with a 3-2 win in Tulsa, Okla.
TULSA, Okla.– The St. Thomas baseball team traveled to Oral Roberts to face the Golden Eagles for the first time this season.
St. Thomas defeated defending Summit League champions, Oral Roberts by a score of 3-2. The Tommies (11-14, 6-3 Summit) out-hit the Golden Eagles (12-21-1, 4-8-1 Summit) and saw strong pitching outings from starter Jacob Mrosko and reliever Carl Cano.

After Oral Roberts gained the early lead in game one, St. Thomas responded with two runs in the top of the fourth to even the game. Taking the lead in the top of the eighth inning, the Tommies held their advantage for the remainder of the game to defeat the Golden Eagles in the series opener.
Tanner Recchio, Max Moris and Matthew Maulik recorded multi-hit games for the Tommies, led by Maulik who went 3-for-4 tonight.
Jacob Mrosko (3-3) went 7.0 innings with six strikeouts, allowing just three hits. Carl Cano finished the final 2.0 innings, totaling three strikeouts, allowing one hit and recording his fifth save of the season.
