Men's Hockey to play Lake Superior State in first round of Mason Cup Playoffs

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of St. Thomas Men's Hockey team (14-18-2) will host a Mason Cup Playoff series for the first time in program history, as it hosts the Lake Superior State Lakers (15-18-1, 11-12-1 CCHA) at Saint Thomas Ice Arena this weekend.
The series' first game will take place on Friday, March 8 at 7:07 p.m. CST. Game two is set for a 6:07 p.m. puck drop on Saturday, March 9. Game three will only be played if necessary and will also start at 6:07 p.m.
The Tommies, led by head coach Rico Blasi, won a Division I program best 14 games this season and went from a seventh place finish in 2022-23 to second place in 2023-24.
