Tommies close trip to Louisiana with a win over Nicholls

Ma, ElNemr earn wins in singles and doubles action to help lift Tommies over Colonels
Thibodaux, La. -- The St. Thomas women's tennis team wrapped up its road trip to Louisiana facing Nicholls in a non-conference match. The Tommies closed the four-game road trip with a 4-2 victory over the Colonels.
RECAP
In doubles action, the duo of Yinong Ma and Olivia Paradise started the match strong, earning a 6-0 victory over their Nicholls opponent. Claiming the doubles point, Jannah ElNemr and Caroline Lindahl defeated a Colonels pairing 6-3.
Taking the early lead in the match, the Tommies carried this momentum securing the No. 1, 2 and 4 singles matches. ElNemr (6-2, 2-6, 6-0) and Ma (6-3, 7-5) went undefeated on the final day of the trip.
In the top singles spot, Marthe Degeorges clinched the victory for Purple, winning her match 7-5, 6-2.
Yinong Ma (12-4 overall), Caroline Lindahl (8-7 overall), and Olivia Paradise (8-6 overall) lead the Tommies in singles play this spring. Ma is the second Tommie of the DI-era to reach 10 singles victories in a season.

St. Thomas returns home for the final time this season, hosting South Dakota for Senior Day on Monday, April 1.
