Baseball drops game two of Summit League series with Northern Colorado

Greeley, Colo. – St. Thomas Baseball's bats went dormant after scoring 21 runs the day before in falling to Northern Colorado, 10-0 in eight innings.
Northern Colorado book ended the game with four runs in the first inning and six runs in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Walker Retz settled things down after the four-run first. He allowed just the four runs (one earned) on eight hits, four walks, and six strikeouts in seven strong innings of work.
Four Tommies reached first base on hits: Charlie Batholomew, Joe Roder, Tanner Marsh, and Matthew Enck. Enck also walked and was the only Tommie hitter to reach base safely more than once.

The Tommies will conclude their road series with Northern Colorado tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. central time with a chance to win a conference set for the first time in 2023.
