Eric Douville races to school record in 200 meters

-- Grad student Eric Douville broke a 19-year-old program record in the 200-meter dash Wednesday to highlight the Tommie Men's Track and Field performances at the University of Minnesota Running on Hope Invitational.

Douville clocked 21.31 for second place in the race, a personal best by .07 of a second and the third best outdoor 200 time this season in the Summit League. He broke Carson Glad's 2004 record of 21.37.

Nate Raddatz had career bests in the javelin (175-5) and 110 hurdles (15.11).

Christian Beamer took second place in the high jump at 6-7.

Colton Halla ran a season-best 9:34.4 in the steeplechase. In the 1,500, four Toms placed 2-5-6-10 as Caden Nordberg (3:56.77), Sean McNiesh (3:57.2), Jon Roux (3:57.31) and Tony Weeks (3:59.64). In the 800, John Morrison had a season best 1:55.71, and Samuel Gausmann had a career best 1:56.98.

Mitchell Piehl took fifth in the 400 (48.90). Sam Duffing (15.07) and Raddatz took 3-4 in the 110 hurdles.

Gary Afram (10.75) and Brett Ringer (11.04) placed 4-9 in the 100. Ringer also ran a season-best 21.95 in the 200.

Other season bests included Josh Dolezal in the javelin (162-0) and Nate Carlin in the 100 (11.12) and 200 (22.40).
