Rudd, Baertlein get program records on final day of Summit S&D

Minneapolis, Minn. -- Joe Rudd broke another program record and Blake Baertlein broke his own record on Saturday to lead St. Thomas Men's Swim-Dive in the final day of the Summit League Championships at the University of Minnesota.
In their season-ending meet, the Tommies finished sixth in the team race with 242 points, right behind Omaha at 345 and just ahead of Eastern Illinois at 171.5.
Denver won the team title with 902, with Lindenwood in second place at 798.5.
Rudd took second place in the 200 Breaststroke in 1:56.26 to lower his own school record.
Baertlein took ninth in the 100 IM in 51.28 to break his own school record.
Philip Jensen placed fifth in the 200 Back in 1:48.46, the No. 3 time in program history.
Michael Scripp placed 10th in the 200 Fly in 1:53.27, the No. 4 time in program history.
Dakotah Parker (fifth, 390) and Ben Linde (12th in 229.80) also contributed in three-meter diving.
The Toms' 400 free relay took sixth in 3:04.79 with Garrett Maras, Jensen, Luke Ridler and Alex Foti.
In the 1650, Foti took 14th in 16:09.64; Zach Upham took 15th in 16:40.07, and Julien Yung took 21st in 17:05.46.
Will Goldman took 15th in the 200 Breast (2:05.65).
A.J. Carollo took 14th in the 100 IM.
