Men's Soccer falls on the road to unbeaten Dayton

Dayton, Ohio - The Dayton Flyers stayed unbeaten on the season with Friday night's 5-0 defeat of St. Thomas Men's Soccer in non-conference play.
Dayton improved to 3-0 and has outscored opponents 14-2. Under 18-year coach Dennis Currier, UD has one of the more experienced teams in D-I men's soccer in 2022 with two grad students, 11 seniors and six juniors on a 31-player roster.
The Flyers outshot the Purple 26-1 and had a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks. They scored three goals in an 11:00 span in the middle of the first half to build a 4-0 lead.
Tommie freshman goalkeeper Tony Favorite had five saves against 10 shots on goal.
St. Thomas (0-3) plays here Sunday against Incarnate Word (0-3) in a rematch of a 2021 game won by Incarnate Word in overtime.
