Newton, Kan. - Freshman Isabelle Lynch shot a collegiate-best 70 in the third and final round to propel her to a final score of 227 and tied for 14th individually. Lynch's 70 was tied for the third-lowest scored round in the tournament.

Lynch's 70 on Tuesday is the second best score by a Tommie women's golfer in any tournament, and the lowest round by any St. Thomas women's golfer in any conference tournament. The score is tied for the 6th lowest round in the Summit League individual tournament record book.

The Bloomington, Minn., native, ranked 38th out of 45 golfers after day 1, tied for 25th after the second day of competition, and jumped 11 spots in the final day of play to finish the tournament tied for 14th.

It's also the lowest round by any St. Thomas women's golfer in any conference tournament.

"I'm so proud of our entire team for how much they've grown, improved and competed all season," said Head Coach Katie Hanneman. "Today, what Isabelle was able to do, finish in the top-15 individually in the conference tournament as a freshman is a great accomplishment for her. The foundation that we've laid this first season competing in the Summit League is very encouraging for Tommie Women's Golf."

St. Thomas finished in ninth place with a score of 989. The four other Tommies competing for St. Thomas were junior Claudia Kim (249, 41st), freshman Lauren Contreras (256, 42nd), sophomore Paige O'Neal (260, 43rd) and junior Sophia Dooman (262, 44th).
