Men's Golf bests South Dakota at the Duel at Dacotah

Morton, Minn. - St. Thomas men's golf bested South Dakota at the Duel at Dacotah on Friday in a two-round event. The Toms (+35) shot +19 in the first round and +16 in the second round to finish ahead of the Coyotes.
Matthew Garside (+8) and Jack Nasby (+9) finished first and second for St. Thomas, respectively. Garside had two birdies across the first 18 holes and three across the second round, while J. Nasby finished with four on the day.
Ben Frazzini (+10) and Cole Nasby (+11) came in second and third at the Duel at Dacotah, giving the Toms the top four finishing scores. C. Nasby tallied six total birdies and Frazzini finished with four over the two rounds. Matthew Armstrong rounded out the team-counting scorers for St. Thomas with a +15 and top-seven showing.
Drew Sagrillo led individual scorers with a +15 performance on the day. Matthew Raab (+16), Jack Gero (+16), Zach Mulhearn (+17), and Jack Michel (+28) also played at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club as individuals on Friday.
For Garside, it was his second time leading his team at a tournament, and first time finishing first among competitors. Gero and Michel both made their St. Thomas Division I debuts on Friday, although their scores only counted for individual totals.
