5-0 win over Bethune-Cookman gives Women's Tennis second-straight win

Daytona Beach, Fla. - Women's Tennis (4-11) continued its strong second half of the season while picking up win No. 2 in-a-row on Thursday against Bethune-Cookman (1-12), 5-0.
The Tommies, fresh off of a 6-1 win against Trinity (Conn.), endured a strange match against Wildcats in which only two lines were started due to weather. St. Thomas captured wins in the doubles No. 2 and 3 by default, and picked up victories in the singles No. 3, 4, 5, and 6 due to the same reason, leading to a 5-0 final score.
Abigail Bremel and Monterey Knewtson achieved a win in the No. 2 doubles line by default. Shrichandrakala Tentu, Knewtson, Brooke Hapuku, and A. Bremel won the singles No. 3-6 spots by default, respectively.
In regards to the peculiar win over Bethune-Cookman, head coach Lois Arterberry had two words to say, "roll Toms."
Following a week of Florida matches, the Tommies head to Omaha, Neb. to face off at the Mavs on Saturday, April 2 at 11:00 a.m.
