Men's Soccer gets tie on road at UW-Green Bay

Tommie Men's Soccer ended a six-game losing streak with Tuesday's 0-0, two-overtime tie at UW-Green Bay in non-conference play.
Playing its sixth road game in 20 days, St. Thomas (0-6-1) built a 6-3 edge in corner kicks but was unable to get a clean shot on the Phoenix goalkeeper over the game's 120 minutes.
Green Bay (1-3-1) had only one shot on goal itself and had a slim 11-9 edge in total shots.
For the Purple, Niklas Martensson played all 120 minutes in goal and had one save.
St. Thomas played its second overtime game of the season, and both were 0-0 through regulation time. The 2019 Toms played overtime in six of their first eight contests. It was just the third scoreless tie for Tommie Men's Soccer through 120 minutes since the 2016 season.
St. Thomas is home next Monday to face Cal Baptist in a 12:30 p.m. contest at South Field, it's the final game before starting Summit League play Sept. 25 at Eastern Illinois.
