Redshirt freshman Duke Coborn allowed no earned runs and two hits over eight innings and nine different Tommies had a hit or a run in St. Thomas Baseball's 9-1 non-conference win over Crown College Saturday afternoon at Koch Diamond.
Coborn struck out seven and walked only one as he moved to 3-0 on the season. The St. Thomas Academy graduate lowered his ERA to 0.72 and lifted his strikeout-to-walk ratio to 7-to-1 (29-to-4).
Redshirt freshman Sam Kulesa had two hits and two walks in four trips, including a two-run triple, and scored three runs. Kulesa lifted his season average to .396. Redshirt freshman Jake Porter, Charlie Bartholomew, Owen Best and Avery Lehman each had an RBI hit, and Matthew Enck had a sacrifice fly.
St. Thomas is home Tuesday for two games against Carleton.
