Late scoring flurry stings Women's Hockey in 4-3 loss

Sophomore Jenna Hartung scored two goals, but visiting St. Thomas Women's Hockey couldn't close out a third-period lead and fell 4-3 to Bethel in non-conference play Saturday afternoon in Blaine.
Freshman Fiona Claughtery scored a power-play goal midway through the third frame to push the Tommie lead to 3-1.
But Bethel answered with three goals in a late 3:06 span to pull out the victory and avenge a February loss to the Tommies.
St. Thomas (5-2) plays its final home game in Sunday against St. Mary's (2 p.m.) and closes the season Tuesday night with a road game at St. Mary's.
