St. Thomas Women's Basketball falls at Presbyterian despite a strong first half effort

Clinton, S.C. - The St. Thomas Women's Basketball Team was tied with Presbyterian 39-39 at half before ultimately falling to the Blue Hose 82-62 on Saturday on the road.
 
The non-conference contest at?Templeton Center was the Tommies fourth Division I?game, bringing their record to 1-3 on the season. 

The Purple fell behind 25-13 in the first quarter, but had a strong second quarter, resulting in a tie game heading into the second half. However, St. Thomas trailed by ten points at the end of the third quarter. The Blue Hose took control of the game, scoring 22 and 21 points in the third and fourth quarters, respectively.  
 
The Blue Hose never trailed in the game and shot 50 percent percent from the floor, while the Tommies shot just 38.2 percent from the floor. Presbyterian College also made 52.4% of their three point attempts.  
 
Freshman GJade Hill scored a team-best 18 points for St. Thomas, while the grad student F duo of Erin Norling and?Kaia?Porter added 10 points and eight points, respectively.

St. Thomas returns to action Friday, Nov. 26 at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Calif. in the opening game of the Holiday Beach Classic against the host institution, Cal Poly. Tip-off is slated for 2:00 p.m. CT.
